The Zvegor crucibles <\/span>continued the living cultural heritage in Pijanec associated with Vasilica. The local custom under masks or the open-air theater in which the main characters, the bride and groom, the whites, the grandmothers, the bears, chased away the evil from Pijanec, blessing the hosts with a raw young and healthy new year, is held today in the Delcevo village Zvegor. <\/span>Preserving the authentic tradition of a cheerful wedding procession enriched with many new characters, seventy masks and <\/span>this year they paraded through the village without passing a single house in it.<\/p>\n

This year, j<\/span>vegorskaand <\/span>\u00a0Surova is organized under the auspices of the company MANOV DOO and the Municipality of Delchevo<\/span>. Gjorgji Manov, who is the godfather of this year's edition, said that the event will continue this year in the spirit of a long tradition. several centuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

- We do not want to change much, but this year Zvegorska raw is organized in the spirit of tradition. It started in the way that the first Christian families living around Zvegor disguised themselves as Lukov Vrv, Manovci and Drndarica and came to Zvegor. The Turks did not allow them to go at night and that is why that tradition is during the day, while in the surrounding area the Surova custom is made at night, says Manov.<\/p>\n

Surova in Zvegor is unique in many ways. Erotic games are associated with fertility, old grandmothers and bears help the sick, and those present and guests are blacked out for health. Whites are an army guarding a prematurely discovered bride with wooden swords and rifles.<\/p>\n

The Mayor Goran Trajkovski, who emphasized the importance of this living cultural heritage, pointed out that the local custom is called Pijanec Vevcani because of the meaning and the richness of the masks.<\/p>\n

As a Municipality, we support the tradition. <\/span>May it be a happy, cruel and healthy old New Year for many years, said Trajkovski.<\/p>\n
