The city chapel will be put into use on Monday

The city chapel in Delchevo will be put into operation on Monday, November 16. According to the Working Protocols, the city chapel, which has the character of a public communal building, will work 24 hours with appropriate duty of the responsible persons in the chapel. The deceased is taken from the place where he died, with a special vehicle of the operator who performs funeral services on the territory of the Municipality of Delchevo, and the acceptance of the deceased in the chapel is done at any time during 24 hours.   

The protocols provide for keeping the deceased in a refrigerator, exposing the coffin in a special room for that purpose designated for religious buildings and paying last respects, two hours before the time set for the funeral. Lighting candles is allowed only in a certain place for that purpose, while food and drinks can be brought only in a suitable room.

In this period of pandemic, citizens should respect all measures and protocols for protection against covidium 19, and in that sense not to allow greater grouping at funerals. Frequent disinfection will be performed in the city chapel, after each performed funeral. The Rulebook also explicitly states that the remains of persons who have died of infectious diseases will not be exposed to the coffin, and the body will be kept in the chapel refrigerator only in a tin coffin that must not be opened.

Otherwise, the construction of the city chapel is andinvestment of the Municipality of Delchevo, valuable 7 million  denars including VAT.
