Minister Sugareski and Mayor Trajkovski inspected some of the infrastructure projects in Delchevo

The Minister of Transport and Communications Goran Sugareski today paid a working visit to the Municipality of Delchevo. During the visit, Minister Sugareski and Mayor Trajkovski inspected the construction works on some of the infrastructure projects that are being implemented in Delchevo.

These are projects worth about 45 million denars, ie construction of storm sewer in the length of 1.9 km in the settlement Milkovo Brdo worth about 13 million denars, funds provided through a grant from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, as well as the project "Improvement of Municipal Public Services in the Municipality of Delchevo ”which is realized through the Project Unit of the Ministry of Finance and the project for improvement of municipal services MSIP financed through the World Bank. Within this project, the Municipality of Delchevo received funds for an underground loan of 32,252,287 denars for the realization of the project which means construction of a completely new street in the settlement SRC in the length of 290 meters, reconstruction of the street "Marshal Tito" with a length of 743 meters (with retaining walls and culverts), reconstruction of the street "Vera Jocic" with a length of 599 meters.

Minister Sugareski stressed that the implementation of capital projects in the country have not stopped due to the coronary crisis and that they are being implemented with very strong dynamics everywhere and in every region.

– The creation of better living conditions for the inhabitants of Delchevo is a result of the joint work of the central and local government, and it is visible in the field. First of all, I must mention that we have rehabilitated almost the entire road infrastructure in this region, and now we are focusing on the local road network and communal affairs, primarily to improve the living conditions in the municipality. This is an indicator of serious investments in the region, we rehabilitated the roads and the border crossings, the transition through Delchevo, so, in general, we did everything that needed to be done. These investments are an indicator of how active this Government led by SDSM is in the field and I assure you that investments in infrastructure will continue at the same pace, said Sugareski.

Mayor Trajkovski expressed gratitude to Minister Sugareski and MTV and the Government for the support for the implementation of projects in Delchevo, which solves key problems that should improve the quality of life of our fellow citizens.

– We solve decades of citizens' problems. This 2020 is the year of infrastructure in Delchevo. Specifically, in the settlement Milkovo Brdo is realized the project "Separation of fecal from atmospheric sewage in the settlement Milkovo Brdo-2" in Delchevo solves the long-standing problem with storm water which during heavy rains causes flooding of several buildings and properties of citizens in this part of the settlement . It is about the construction of storm sewer in the length of about 1,900 meters in the settlement. About 300 meters have been built so far, and the works should be completed in 5 months. Immediately after the completion of the construction of the storm sewer, the reconstruction of the street "Vera Jocic" in the length of 599 meters will begin within the project "Improvement of public municipal services in the Municipality of Delcevo" which is realized through the project unit of the Ministry of Finance and the project for improvement of the municipal services MSIP financed through the World Bank, and reconstruction of 1.3 km long streets and construction of a new street in the length of 290 m is planned, said Trajkovski.

Minister Sugareski informed that the tender for the first phase of the project "Macedonia without mud" for construction and rehabilitation of three streets in Delchevo "Orce Nikolov" "Ostrec", as well as the old local road Delchevo-Trabotivishte, will be announced in two months. Within this project, Delchevo was awarded about 800,000 euros.
